A Day of Luxury, driving, sailing and beauty 

Summer’s officially here in Barcelona and amongst the vast range of tourist activities available in the city, I never thought my day would include such a luxurious once in a life time experience.

A late morning visit to the OneOcean Club in Marina Port Vell (a short walk from Barceloneta Metro station) turned into a truly memorable experience. Here I was welcomed by incredible city views as well luxury sailboats and yachts. Not only that, but I also got to experience various driving tours that Drive Me Barcelona can offer.

Aside from the cocktail bar, restaurant, and fitness suite at OneOcean Club, you can treat yourself at the Rare Beauty Salon located in the Gallery Building. Although, I’m not a regular visitor and do feel some-what out of my element at a beauty spa, the staff were very welcoming and I was able to enjoy one of the most relaxing back massages I have ever had.

This was particularly useful as I tend to spend long periods of time sat at work and whilst driving. If this is more of your preference they also offer a range of services like manicure, pedicure, make-up and hair styling amongst others.

Following the massage and in my newly relaxed state, I was able to enjoy the city views with a greater sense of calm and appreciation. This time however, I didn’t have to walk along the port to enjoy either the seaside or city landscapes. Instead, I had a front row perspective from a luxury sailing yacht as we cruised out of Port Vell and into the Mediterranean.

Finally, and for my personal favourite part of the day, I was able to get another view of the city but this time inside a shiny bright red Ferrari California. Undoubtedly, the roadside view is nice but the perspective from inside the Supercar was like no other.

From the driver’s seat you can experience the breath taking sensation of driving in Barcelona while enjoying the unique feeling of elegance and luxury that is like no other. A ‘day of luxury’ barely defines the amount of bucket list must-do’s I have been able to tick off today.
